We are a vertically integrated company, which simply means we start with our farms and end at our consumers’ table. Located in the thriving Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina area, our business model gives us the opportunity to provide a diverse array of career opportunities and paths which include our farms, processing facilities and support offices.

The brand represents more than 60 years of history, and during that time our mission remains unchanged, to make delicious, nutritious, and affordable food in a responsible way, and it all starts with finding the right talent. Our team members are the heart of our business and their satisfaction, work-life balance and career fulfillment are our top priorities.

One of every three turkeys at Thanksgiving is a Butterball. Beyond the holidays, we offer a wide variety of healthy turkey products including burgers, smoked sausage, bacon, and deli meats for every day meals.

Staying on top of what our consumers want is always a priority. In 2016, we launched one of our biggest innovation projects to date, the Farm to Family brand, bringing no-antibiotics-ever offerings to key retailers across the country, to meet the preferences of our consumers.

Iconic Name

Butterball received its name from the broad breast and plump, round shape of the turkey.

Animal Care & Well-Being

We are the first nationally certified American Humane turkey producer.

We Got Scale

The largest turkey processing facility in the world is Butterball's 675,000 square foot Mount Olive, NC facility, located 64 miles outside of Raleigh, processing 17 million turkeys each year.

Talking Turkey

Since 1981 a team of Butterball turkey experts runs the turkey talk line providing advice to over 100,000 cooks, preparing their Thanksgiving turkey. In 2016, the talk line introduced texting.

Safety Matters

Butterball plants are consistently recognized by OSHA for meeting safety standards across North Carolina, Missouri and Arkansas.

Butterball has over 6,000 team members throughout it's six plant locations and corporate offices.

Giving Back

Butterball supports many non-profit organizations including the American Heart Association and donation of product to Feeding America and Operation BBQ Relief.
