String Beans with Browned Butter and Almonds

Green beans served in a browned butter and almond sauce.

  1. Bring large saucepan of water to a boil on high heat. Add the salt, and green beans. Cook until tender, 4 to 5 minutes.

  2. Meanwhile, melt butter on medium heat in large skillet. Add almonds. Cook until both almonds and butter begin to brown lightly, about 3 minutes. Stir in lemon juice.

  3. Drain beans; add to skillet, tossing to coat with butter mixture. Heat through.
